Sub genre photos and evaluation (Draft) Charlie

Short Write ups for 3 photos. (First Photo) This photo represents the psychological-thriller sub-genre. This is because we cannot see the faces of the people in the photo. This represents suspense as we don’t know what the people in the photo are thinking. Their mental state of mind is masked by the fact they’re facing away from the camera. What Went Well? I like how the entire shot is in focus. Also the fact this is shot behind the football net adds texture to the shot, which I like. Even Better If we took more of the same shot it maybe could’ve turned out better. (Second photo) This photo represents the conspiracy-thriller sub-genre. This is because the message on the butterfly could represent the idea of a powerful organization hiding behind their message and logo (the butterfly) What Went Well? I particularly like the blue background as it adds texture and colour to the shot. I also like the rugged look of the butterfly itself. Even Better If the card wasn’t bent. It would have resulted in a cleaner shot if the butterfly was intact. (Third photo) This photo represents the spy-thriller sub-genre. This is because this is an over the shoulder shot. Also because we can’t see the persons face which represents secrecy and intrigue. What Went Well? I like the lighting in this shot. The person in the shot is subtle which I think makes the shot. Even Better If we saw more of the background and less of the person in the shot.
