feedback of the rough cut

Audience Feedback

From this feedback of our first cut of our opening sequence, I have found that overall, the first cut was of good quality but the props and Mes-en-scene needed to be greatly improved. Also, several of the scenes needed to be swapped around so that the opening sequence flowed well. Using this feedback, changes will be made to our opening sequence so that it better appeals to our target audience.

Feedback on locations

From our social media feedback, our locations were shown to be good choices and we will not change these locations. Using this feedback, we will use these locations as the locations for our opening sequence, unless these rooms are not avaliable, in which we will use a similar location and film at the original location at another time.

Feedback on Costumes

From this feedback on social media about our chosen costumes, there will not be any changes to the main actors' and actress' costumes, but additional changes to minor characters costumes might occur.

Feedback on props

Using this feedback, considerations will be taken into account when filming our opening sequence, but no changes to props will be made.

Audience expectation interviews

We collected feedback from our target audience on what they thought about the plot of our film to gather if it would be suitable for this audience. From what we learnt, the synaposis of our film was understandably good and there are no alterations that should be made to the plot of our film.
From this planning that I have conducted, I conclude that the plot of our opening sequence needs to appeal to our target audience.

By analysing the target audience of other thriller films, this makes us think about which group of people our thriller is to target. I have learnt that every film has a specific target audience and also that our film should have a specific target audience, therefore we should spend some time, while planning, to asses who our target audience is going to be.
