Legendary Entertainment is an American media company based in Burbank, California. It was founded in 2000 by Thomas burke, by raising subsidies worth five hundred million dollars. Legendary entertainment has produced numerous thriller films including The Dark Knight trilogy, as well as other films such as The Hangover and Jurassic World. it has been co-producing and co-financing films with Warner Bros. since 2005 and a similar agreement with Universal Studios in 2014. In 2016, Legendary Entertainment became a subsidiary of the Chinese conglomerate Wanda Group.



Most films that Legendary Entertainment create have a budget in the range of $150 million to $200 million, with some exceptions (The Hangover series, Man of Steel.) Directors such as Christopher Nolan and Todd Philips. Many of Legendary’s films have been successful, with three thrillers grossing more than $1 Billion at the Box Office, with several others near to that number. There is no specific location in which their films are shot, but many are shot in the USA.
