Audience Research; Girl on The Train

I have chosen to analyse what the target audience may be for the movie The Girl On The Train, and I have come to the conclusion that the movie is targeted mainly at women in their mid 20's and early 30's who are succeeders and resigned, who may work part time or commute daily therefore they are aware of the daily commute which may have something to do with the title, when it comes to psychographics and here are my reasons why.  Firstly the movie poster is used to advertise the movie and target the audience because it is a woman on the poster which is in her late 20's to know her story because they want to feel empathy and they probably would understand how she feels.
The website of the movie is advertising the movie and targeting the audience because it introduces the characters and there are pictures of the characters that show them a little bit more clearly than the trailer, these pictures include the male characters that the women which are most likely the target audience may like and even be attracted to them. The trailer gives an insight to what the movie is about and focuses on the fact that the two main characters in the movie are women which may be the reason because this movie is targeted at women because it focuses on a woman who has witnessed a crime and the victim which is a woman.
The social media sites target the audience and advertises the movie because it is something that most people now a days use and so easily could be shown to come up in people's feed or suggested videos to watch on YouTube or maybe even pages on Facebook that they would most likely be interested in.
