Editing the rough cut

The Hunt Opening scene draft 2

3 Editing techniques i didn't use in the rough cut

In the rough cut I didn't use L or J cuts because there was only a couple of scenes where there was talking so the audience needed to know who is talking so that the don't get confused so early on in the film.

Also i didn't use any green screens in the opening scene because as a group we felt that there was no need for it as we had all the locations we needed. Furthermore we felt that the green screen in effects didn't look as realistic as we wanted for our scene meaning we went for perfection over convenience.

In rough cut we didn't add any colour isolation as we couldn't decide on where it should go, however in the final cut we thought that the colour isolation would be good for Mariana's character when she is walking past the stalker/detective to make it so that her character stands out rather than the stalker/detective.

They haven't been kidnapped.

Who is the kidnapper?
There is no kidnapper, however there is a weird stalker person called Ken Bateman

The detective is revealed as the stalker and is taken into police custody, while in court it is decided that Ken Bateman is to go to a mental hospital, in which he will stay until the day he dies.

What else will be involved in the plot?
The plot of the movie will also show how the stalker is affecting Bethany and Cameron's relationship and personal life.

Process Update - Filming

What Went Well - We were able to use a range of creative shots and shot angles. We also incorporated lighting into our shots very effectively also. We also effectively and strategically placed litter on the ground to further emphasise the danger of this area and how it may not be safe.

What Was Hard - We tried a range of different lighting effects, however we found it hard to find the perfect angle to effectively show the location of what we wanted to emphasise in the shot. We also found it difficult writing and acting the script for our interview scene.
